Stop Sex Trafficking

About Us

“What would you do if you only had one year left to live?” Three years prior to my friend asking this question, God etched into my heart and mind a passion to abolish sex slavery. I therefore immediately knew my answer and replied, “I’d help fight sex trafficking.” In response, my friend suggested I start with a website.

Little did I know this conversation would set in motion events leading to the development of WakePeopleUp.com. The website took form and Wake People Up quickly began to achieve its purposes. These purposes are:

  • Raise awareness about sex trafficking
  • Provide avenues whereby people can get involved in the fight against  sex trafficking
  • Fund and support reputable charities related to sex trafficking

Wake People Up continues to grow and fulfill its vision. We are touching American hearts and reaching countries all over the world. Every day people across the world view the website. This means we are effectively and globally raising awareness about trafficking. The sex trafficking issue has gained a lot of press lately. As a result people are more aware than ever about  slavery in sex trafficking. However, it is not a new issue or fad. It’s been going on since the beginning of time and it’s not going away without a battle. It is no longer acceptable to turn a blind eye to either the victims or the perpetrators of sex trafficking. It’s time for the world to come to a space of finally saying, “This is immoral and we are not going to tolerate it!”

A great big huge THANK YOU to Justin House of GroundedGroup.com who asked the compelling question “What would you do…” and then pitched the idea of creating a website for this cause. Thank you for the countless hours that you have invested into designing and maintaining this website.

A special thank you to friends, supporters and organizations who actively combat sex trafficking. We are especially grateful for donations and assistance with events that benefit safe house efforts.

Alone, one can move mountains, but together we can change lives. Spread the word, end the demand, stop the crime.

Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
Psalm 82:3-4

Many blessings and much love-
